TruFel HC2PCh (formerly Fel-O-Vax IV CaliciVax) 25 Single Doses

TruFel HC2PCh is a killed virus and killed Chlamydia vaccine indicated for subcutaneous use in healthy cats 8 weeks of age or older. It helps prevent feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus (novel & traditional, including the hemorrhagic VS-FCV strain), panleukopenia, and reduces the severity of disease caused by Chlamydia psittaci.

Diseases Covered by TruFel HC2PCh

  • Feline Rhinotracheitis Caused by Feline herpesvirus-1 (FeHV-1); leads to upper respiratory infection, nasal discharge, and conjunctivitis
  • Calicivirus (FCV) Causes oral ulcers, respiratory symptoms, and systemic illness; includes protection against the virulent hemorrhagic VS-FCV strain
  • Panleukopenia (FPV) Also called feline distemper; causes fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and white blood cell depletion
  • Chlamydia psittaci Bacterial infection resulting in conjunctivitis, ocular discharge, and upper respiratory inflammation

Dosage and Administration

  • Inject one 1 mL dose subcutaneously using aseptic technique
  • Administer two doses, 3 to 4 weeks apart
  • If under 16 weeks of age, ensure the final dose is given at 16 weeks or older
  • The need for annual booster revaccinations has not been established for this product. Consult your veterinarian for revaccination recommendations.

Storage and Handling

  • Store in a dark environment at 2 to 8C (35 to 46F)
  • Do not freeze
  • Shake well before use
  • Use new, non-chemically sterilized needles and syringes
  • Use entire contents when first opened

Precautions

  • For use in healthy cats only
  • Not tested in pregnant cats
  • Do not mix with other products unless specified on the label
  • In case of anaphylactoid reaction, administer epinephrine
  • For human exposure, seek medical attention
  • Contains thimerosal, neomycin, polymyxin B, and amphotericin B as preservatives
