Directions:

Use aseptic technique. Remove caps when required and secure connections.Close CAIR clamp.For plastic, replace bacterial retentive air filter with piercing pin cover.Insert pin and suspend the set.Squeeze the drip chamber to fill one-third full.Open CAIR clamp to prime the set, then close it.Attach the set to the access device.Adjust flow using the CAIR clamp.To stop flow without disturbing the setting, lift tubing upward into the shutoff slot.Note: Stretching or tugging on the tubing may affect manual flow control clamps.

Cautions and Warnings:

Excessive internal pressure may cause separation of the flashback device. Replace according to CDC guidelines or healthcare provider policy. Not for use with blood or plasma containers. Contains dry natural rubber. Discard after single-patient use. Do not resterilize. Avoid extreme storage temperatures. The fluid path and areas beneath undisturbed protective covers are sterile and nonpyrogenic in an intact unit package.
